Sanctuary

Interested in learning more about Christian faith? Connecting or reconnecting with church? Sanctuary is a series of small gatherings meant to provide a time of renewal or welcome - for anyone thinking "I'm curious about church life and Christianity" or "How do I reconnect with God?" Visitors, people new to church, members returning after an absence, people going through life changes or wanting to explore the basics of the faith.

What We Do

Find enrichment in each others' stories about how church, religion, God has been a part of our lives, for better or for worse. Members of St Luke serve as fellow participants or are matched with guests as Faith Companions.

Ask Questions

"Who was Jesus? Is the Bible literally true? Is there a Hell? What's a Lutheran church?" Anything goes! Look at the basics of Christianity we'll be using portions of a classic yet brief Catechism, and reviewing the simple yet incredibly rich teachings of the Lord's Prayer, 10 Commandments, Apostles Creed, and on the Sacraments of Baptism and Communion.

Where Does This Lead?

This is an open-ended process. Participants have the opportunity to join St Luke through baptism or affirm of baptism, or to simply go through a renewing experience of exploration.
