Clean Streets Ministry

Our Clean Streets ministry was created to serve our local community and provide volunteer activity.  We clear the sidewalks of trash, clean tree wells and generally tidy up

the outdoors.  All are welcome for this service opportunity.

Mark your calendar for the second Saturday of each month.  Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 9th, 2022!  We meet at the church between 7:30-8:00a.m. (registration opens at 7:30a.m.) and we work for about two hours. Please bring your mask.

Participants under the age of 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.  Students earning community service hours for school should bring their Service Learning form with them.

See below for the various ways you can participate.

To serve our neighbors and grow our church

One time monthly to clean Ventura Boulevard between Desoto Avenue and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, picking up the trash, pulling weeds, maintaining the street trees, cleaning the gutters, and engaging the unhoused.

How You Can Participate

  • Early bird?  Come early, (7:30 am) to help set up, and engage the volunteers.

  • Physically able?  Go out with the volunteers and pick-up trash.  Engage with the pedestrians and invite volunteers.

  • Something easy?  Have breakfast at one of the local restaurants, wear your God’s work Our hands t-shirt, and tell the server and interested patrons what we are doing.

  • Late sleeper?  Come late.  Engage with the volunteers and help put things away.

  • Something harder?  Engage our unhoused neighbors and find out any way that we can assist them.

  • Donate $20.00 gift cards to distribute to unhoused folks who participate.

  • Contact Randy Kistler for more information.
